Musical Pipe Dream: In a shopping mall, my husband and I are standing behind keyboards and are about arms length apart. I’m playing the main keys while he’s playing the undertones. Our legs are at a medium stance and we are staring forward. As shoppers walk by, they ignore both us and the neck pillow salesman.

Blurb 1/365: The jacket that I bought for Halloween 6 years ago has finally fallen apart. It was a green jacket from Target that I bought for $17.99, hesitantly, because I thought it was too expensive for a Halloween costume. We were Fry and Leela from Futurama. I wore that jacket so much and almost everyday for the past year. That was a good jacket and I’ve tried to look for its equal. Target doesn’t make them like that anymore.

Musical Pipe Dream: I’m on a ferry full of tired people. As we approach the dock, we’re all already lined up and crowding towards the designated exit. Suddenly, Conga starts playing over the speakers and some of us start dancing and form a conga line. Even the reluctant people join the line with their hands loosely placed on the hips of the stranger in front of them. Their eyes are full of rage, but they are still swaying to the beat. We finally dock and off-board continuing the conga line to the ticket collection area.
