Song of the Day: Susie Q as performed by Creedence Clearwater Revival

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mxaA-bJ35s

Musical Pipe Dream: I’m playing lead guitar and my sisters are on drums and bass. My mom’s rockin’ the tambourine. We’re all singing backup. My dad’s singing lead. We jam for 20 minutes.

Blurb 1/365: The things you think about most end up being the most important things in life. Think about the good things.

Daily Doodle: “Wanna live in the box? Cost you two bucks a day … Wanna wake up jab?”

Song of the Day: A Whiter Shade of Pale by Procol Harum

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mb3iPP-tHdA

Musical Pipe Dream: I’m on a stage with two raised platforms on either side. The organist is center stage. The guitarist and bassist are on the stage left platform and I’m with the drum set on the right. We’re playing at an auditorium. The audience is quiet. The lighting is dim.

Blurb 1/365: I can only sing with full gusto when there isn’t anybody else in the room (with the exception of James). So I’ve tried to videotape it and post in on YouTube. That’s a form of performance, right? I sang the first song for a good friend. This second one I sang just because. Stay tuned!

Daily Doodle: Harvest Time Is Here

Song of the Day: Christmas Time Is Here by the Vince Guaraldi Trio with the cast of A Charlie Brown Christmas

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPG3zSgm_Qo

Musical Pipe Dream: I’m sitting in a warm place and it smells like fresh coffee, chocolate, and mint. While I’m in a dim corner, I’m admiring a pianist under a soft light playing this tune.

Blurb 1/365: Sci-Fi thoughts: When I get sick, I usually have vivid dreams that I may or may not remember by the time I wake up. The weird thing is, the next day, I have bursts of emotion: anxiety, like I forgot to do something, or I’m worried, or a warm feeling of a happy memory. But then I realize that those feelings were from my dream, even if I don’t fully remember the dream. That leads me to think about how cold viruses mutate from person to person. What if cold viruses also transferred memories, thoughts, or feelings? This also would explain why there are so many strangers in my dreams. There are faces of people I have never met before, in this life anyway. I think this could be a start of my sci-fi story. How could this be studied? Could it be manipulated? Used for good or evil? How could it backfire? Hmm …

Daily Doodle: Cheer Up

Song of the Day: House of the Rising Sun as performed by The Animals

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P0-czS8PTBU

Musical Pipe Dream: I’m sitting on a rectangle piano bench that has a seat lined with textured vinyl; it looks like lace. I’m facing a church organ. As my hands move on the keys, I lean forward and back as if I’m possessed.

Blurb 1/365: I was thinking how it would turn out if there were investors out there that would invest big money in something that needed to be paid forward. Like an idea to build a product of quality and not have the bottom line only being monetary. So the mission would be:

1) Building something that is cool, which means that not everybody will like it and buy it.

2) Building something that works well, which means spending money on quality time for planning and proper execution, and on good materials.

3) Building something that continues to work well and providing customer service and monetary refunds when something doesn’t work well.

4) Creating a team of people that build these things that don’t get overworked, under paid, or under appreciated.

5) Creating a workplace where ego, greed, and jealousy only exists in the minority or not at all.

6) Promoting and believing that the most important thing is not what comes back to the company, but what gets distributed out to the consumer.

I think those investors wouldn’t make money for 10 years, and then after that, they would make more money than they could imagine. More money than investors can imagine. The company would make money for generations afterward.

People pay for good quality, good service, and good intentions.

Song of the Day: The World Is Getting Smaller by Mark Dinning

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ej0bnmIZbow

Musical Pipe Dream: I’m slightly outside of the spotlight. You can see enough of the skirt of my dress to see me swaying to the beat and tapping my foot. I’m harmonizing and singing backup.

Blurb 1/365: The day that one learns to appreciate life is the day that one starts living.

Daily Doodle: Life Can Be a Carnival

Song of the Day: Two of a Kind by Bobby Darin and Johnny Mercer

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHmbDuxnTuU

Musical Pipe Dream: I’m in an almost vacant restaurant and wearing a penguin tuxedo. A hard spotlight is on me and my eyes are shaded by a black top hat. I tap dance the night away just as if it was a packed house.

Blurb 1/365: Now that I know who I am, it will be easier to be who I want to be.

Daily Doodle: Whoa-oh-oh

Song of the Day: Me & You by Brenton Wood

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNBg2tzS3YY

Musical Pipe Dream: I’m singing into a 1960s mic. My hair is styled as an Elvis bouffant and I’m wearing a white tuxedo with black trim.

Blurb 1/365: I saw two mice on the BART tracks today. They were scurrying as fast as they could and covered with soot. I was rooting for them to follow their dreams.
