Musical Pipe Dream: I’m wearing puffy clothes on an almost empty BART train. I’ve got my headphones on and I’m staring into the distance. A kid is using the windows in the car doors as mirrors to practice his tutting skills. The car sways to and fro. Instead of a Musical Pipe Dream I could call this a Musical Memory because it happened. It’s the little things that shine in my memory.

Musical Pipe Dream: It’s a summer party. There’s watermelon and the kids are playing on a slip ‘n slide. The temperature is perfect under the shade of a large, non-allergy inducing tree. I’m lounging on a camping chair and someone passes me the Chex Mix before I even ask.

Blurb 1/365: The sun was shining in my eyes today and it was uncomfortable. First, I shaded my eyes with my hand, but this didn’t stop the heat from boiling my head. Then, I bent a bit forward and the sun ray rolled over my head. My forehead and hair felt cooler instantly and I was out of harm’s way. I realized that I can apply this principle to life in general. If something is bothering me, I shouldn’t just make slight adjustments that make me slightly less uncomfortable; I should move and take a step in the right direction.

Musical Pipe Dream: All you can see is my head and my fingers peeking out of an enormously oversized sweatshirt. My pants are big enough for me to fit in one pant leg and the cuffs are stuffed into big boots. My limbs are flailing.

Musical Pipe Dream: I absolutely love how every single one of the members of The Ohio Players played multiple instruments and were able to sing and dance while they played them. The YouTube video of their Midnight Special music video is one of the best performances ever; I envy their talent. Some members have already passed on, but they leave a legacy and a blazing trail of pivotal music. In my musical pipe dream, I sing this song flawlessly. I have this song on Rock Band, so, apologies in advance.
