Musical Pipe Dream: There’s a band in a restaurant playing this song. I’m wearing a cape and singing. During the music breakdowns, I take somebody’s hat to hold up in the air and alternate kicking each leg with a bit of pep. Security is called. I’m escorted off the premises in style.

Musical Pipe Dream: I’m on stage in a huge auditorium jamming on a keyboard. The audience members are waving their arms and singing along with stars in their eyes. There’s a guy on stage drumming a hand held drum that’s hooked up to an amplifier with only one drum stick. A very energetic woman is singing. There are Totoros on stage and in the aisles between the seats. It’s magical.

Musical Pipe Dream: I’m in a recording studio on the piano. When the music is climbing to the part where it repeats, the band and I look at each other each time we stop playing for a beat. Our heads bob and stop, we look at each other, take a breath, then play again. The folks on the studio recording team on the other side of the glass are eating potato chips.
