Daily Doodle: The World May Never Know

Song of the Day: Art Star by Yeah Yeah Yeahs

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PBl2qsYtDo

Musical Pipe Dream: I’m singing lead on a tiny stage in a small venue. The drums take up most of the stage. The guitarist is behind the drummer stage right and I’m sitting on the left edge of the stage singing and screaming in a person’s face.

Blurb 1/365: It’s best to ignore ignorance, but sometimes it’s really fun to get angry about it.

Blurb 1/365: Short Fictional Story–JUMP

There aren’t many restrictions against Jumping. Security is so tight that if anybody tried to do anything, they’d just never Jump back. Some people have used it to purposefully end their lives: Suicide by Jump. If you talk to most people, they want nothing to do with it. There are too many politics involved. People get angry when they can’t change something that fails the Ripple. Even with the ability to time travel, evil sometimes still has to remain in history.

At first, Louie didn’t know if he should go; he didn’t know if he’d be able to Jump back. The case studies showed that he wasn’t in existence in 2045, but there was no record of his death.

He knew he would never leave her and that was enough certainty to make the decision. He was going to make the Jump and gather information to submit to the review board to test the Ripple. There was no guarantee, but if the Ripple passed, he could clear his name. He needed to clear his name so he could save her.

Song of the Day: Good Day by Nappy Roots

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3fkZeWsyvo

Musical Pipe Dream: I’m in a park with my family and we’re eating food under a tree. This song is playing. I’m standing and doing dance moves that only allow one section of my body to move at a time. It starts with my head and neck, then down to my shoulders and torso, next my hands and my hips, my knees bend in and out, finally my feet shuffle from left to right.

Blurb 1/365: Sci-fi story in the making … time travel is involved.

Song of the Day: Borderline by Madonna

Musical Pipe Dream: I’m in a laundromat and this song is playing on a boom box in the corner. There is a slight static over the audio. I’m standing in front of a dryer and, while intensely staring at my reflection, I’m pumping my arms like I’m lifting half pound weights. Then with my palms against my thighs, I alternate rolling my shoulders. At a wide stance, I make outward stepping motions but don’t actually move my feet. As my dance number wraps up into an emotional finale, I strike a pose and the dryer buzzer goes off.

Blurb 1/365: Take one bad day and throw it in a bowl. Add pizza and couch and stir together. Sprinkle in TV and let sit for 6 hours.

Song of the Day: Sunshine of Your Love by Cream

Musical Pipe Dream:  I’m stage right slightly in front of the drummer and next to the guitarist. I’m playing bass. My posture is extremely straight and I’m tapping my foot to the beat with a wide-eyed stare.

Blurb 1/365: Flip the social anxiety overload into energy to do things!

Song of the Day: Woman by John Lennon

Musical Pipe Dream: I’m singing at a wedding with a drummer and a xylophonist. We each have microphones and we all sing at the time for harmony. I’m wearing a skinny suit with ruffles on the shirt and I’m dancing by moving my arms and hips in a shoveling motion.

Blurb 1/365: I fell on the stairs at BART today. It was one of those slow-motion falls forward on the stairs. A little boy asked with genuine concern, “Are you ok?” Aww … (I’m ok.)
