Daily Doodle: Jessica Rabbit

Song of the Day: The World Is Getting Smaller by Mark Dinning

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ej0bnmIZbow

Musical Pipe Dream: I’m slightly outside of the spotlight. You can see enough of the skirt of my dress to see me swaying to the beat and tapping my foot. I’m harmonizing and singing backup.

Blurb 1/365: The day that one learns to appreciate life is the day that one starts living.

Daily Doodle: Sunset

Song of the Day: The Stroll by The Diamonds

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrGLNtZ0rEg

Musical Pipe Dream: I have a strap around my neck that is attached to my saxophone. When I’m not playing the saxophone, I swing it like an oar, to and fro. My feet are tapping to the beat with each heel stepping forward on the opposite side of the saxophone. When the saxophone chimes in, I lean forward for the first note, then lean back and move the saxophone in a circle motion on the syncopation. Then I fall back into line and keep rowing and tapping.

Blurb 1/365: I’m gonna rock their socks off!

Song of the Day: Tell Me Something Good by Rufus w/ Chaka Khan

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cm_cFzVAoo8

Musical Pipe Dream: I would love to be able to effortlessly sing this song. Until then, I’ll just sing this on Rock Band.

Blurb 1/365: “Life is short.” Even shorter is the time that we are able to enjoy it. Most of life is time spent trying to figure things out or being stressed. If we are lucky enough to reach a time in our lives where we actually figure things out and live without stress, the time we spent confused might outweigh the time we have left to enjoy.

Live life happily and kindly. Do what you love to do. There has never been a time better than this. The right time is now.

Daily Doodle: The Sprinkler Dance

Song of the Day: Poison by Bell Biv DeVoe

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YejxyaFyUHc

Musical Pipe Dream: I was at a function tonight and I gathered up the courage to nicely ask the deejay if he took requests. When he said yes, I asked if he could play something nostalgic, like Bell Biv DeVoe’s Poison. He said sure, but the song never played. If that song did come on, I would’ve done The Sprinkler out on the dance floor.

Blurb 1/365: When you stay up all night, you might as well watch the sunrise.

Daily Doodle: Tom Nook! What have ye done?

Song(s) of the Day:

Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down) by Cher

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IdEfcsjhGE

and as sung by Nancy Sinatra

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5Xl0Qry-hA

Musical Pipe Dream: In Cher’s version, I’ve got a fiddle tucked into the crook of my neck and I pull the bow with long, meaningful strokes. During the breakdowns, I relax my shoulders and pluck the strings to the beat.

In Nancy’s version, I’m sitting on a wooden chair holding a guitar. I have a piece of glass in my left hand to hold down on the frets as I pick at the strings. My eyes are fixated on my right hand and my head is bowed down.

Blurb 1/365: I wonder how the world would be if perspective could be used like currency? Like, you could pay people in perspective. Or you could pay people money to see your perspective. *She was lost in thought … she was missing for 12 days.*

Daily Doodle: Sonic & Tails – May 1990

Song of the Day: My Body’s a Zombie for You by Dead Man’s Bones

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2csLfBAGpPM

Musical Pipe Dream: A children’s choir is singing and lifting a rainbow parachute over us. I’m sitting in the grass armed with one cartwheel drum stick and hug the drum as I keep time. Another person has a pair of symbols and crash them together when appropriate. There is a man hunched over a tiny piano.
